PREFECTORIAL BOARD PURPOSE
The Prefectorial Board at Jain Bharati Mrigavati Vidyalaya is a vibrant platform that nurtures young leaders by empowering them with the confidence to lead, the wisdom to serve, and the courage to inspire. Rooted in the school's cherished values of Vinay (Humility), Vivek (Wisdom), and Vishwas (Trust), it strives to cultivate leadership qualities, 21st-century competencies, integrity, empathy, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
The Board aims to develop responsible, collaborative, compassionate, and future-ready citizens who lead not by authority, but by example, and who dedicate themselves to the welfare of the school community and society at large.
PREFECTORIAL BOARD PROCESS
The Prefectorial Board at Jain Bharati Mrigavati Vidyalaya represents the highest student leadership body of
the school. Selection to this esteemed council is a rigorous and merit-based process designed to identify
students with exceptional leadership potential, commitment, and character.
The journey begins with interested students submitting a detailed application expressing their aspirations
to serve the school. Shortlisted candidates then appear before an interview panel comprising the Principal
and senior faculty members. During the interaction, candidates are assessed on their awareness of current
affairs, communication skills, critical thinking, confidence, decision-making abilities, leadership
potential, and value-based outlook.
Those who successfully complete the selection process are entrusted with the honour and responsibility of
becoming members of the Prefectorial Board. Before assuming their roles, they undergo structured orientation
and leadership training that instils the spirit of selfless service, teamwork, discipline, accountability,
and ethical leadership.
Throughout the academic year, the JMV Prefectorial Board plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth conduct
of Vidyalaya programmes, assemblies, Parent-Teacher Meetings, orientations, celebrations of special days,
competitions, and other institutional events. As custodians of discipline and role models for their peers,
they inspire fellow students through exemplary conduct, commitment, and integrity.
Beyond the school campus, every Prefect serves as an ambassador of the institution. The badge they proudly
wear is not merely a symbol of authority but a mark of honour, responsibility, and trust. It reminds them
that true leadership lies in humility, service, compassion, and the unwavering pursuit of excellence.
